Karakorum – ancient capital of Mongol empire
After you picked up from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar, we will drive to Karakorum which was a capital city of Mongolia in 13th century for about 30 years, located in northwestern part of Uvurkhangai province of Mongolia. After lunch we will visit to Erdenezuu monastery, one of the Mongolian most attractive monasteries Erdenezuu monasteries is the most ancient survived Buddist monastery in Karakorum. Abtai Sain Khan built the Erdenezuu monastery in 1585 and the monastery was allowed to exist as a museum, the only functioning monastery was Gandan monastery in the capital, Ulaanbaatar. However after the fall of communism in Mongolia in 1990, the monastery was turned over the lamas and Erdenezuu again became a place of worship.

Amazing 8 lake tour
After having breakfast at the camp we will start driving to Shuranga for preparing our horse trip with Mongolian family where we will get our horses, packing yaks and local horse guides for our horseback riding trip for next riding days. Once we arrived at the family, we will be introduced and get used to our horses and helping to cook and having brilliant Mongolian barbeque for dinner. We will get experienced of Mongolian culture, way of life of nomadic families. Overnight at ger camp. (B+L+D)
Horseback riding trail
This morning we will start our horseback riding tour. After having breakfast, we will pack our staff on some packing yaks and ride to Shireet Lake, which is the biggest one in other 7 lakes. During the day we will see great landscapes, a beautiful lake and one of the wildest and unspoiled travel destinations of Mongolia. The Shireet Lake is perfect for photo-shooting and camping overnight. We highly recommend this area for our customers who want to experience adventurous horseback riding. Horse riding around the other lake
After having breakfast at the lake we will ride to another Mongolian nomadic family and will ride to other lakes there. While we riding today, we will cross some little rivers and mountains on the horseback. This is very attractive and much fun to explore the nature beauty and wildlife of 8 lakes in the vast valley and mountainous area. We will have packed lunch in a open space and will stay overnight with a Mongolian family in their ger. (B+L+D)
After having breakfast at the Mongolian family, we will have another riding day to Shavart Mountain. On the way we get there we will cross some rivers on the horseback as well. We will have packed meal for lunch and continue riding after the lunch until we reach next family we are going to stay with for tonight. Having dinner with Mongolians and will stay overnight in a Ger. (B+L+D)
Ride to Shavart Mountain
This morning after breakfast, we will ride along the Orkhon River in the valley and cross the river for a couple of times on our horseback. In the afternoon, we will arrive to the waterfall called Ulaan Tsutgalan /Orkhon Waterfall/, enjoy spectacular view of the waterfall and surrounding area, where we will have chance to take some beautiful photo shots of Orkhon Waterfall. The Orkhon river drops into 20 kms volcanic crack thus forming the 24 meter high waterfall of Ulaan Tsutgalan, highlight of the area. We are having dinner and stay overnight in a ger (B+L+D)
This would be the last horseback riding day of our trip. After we pack our stuff, we will start riding to Tuvkhun monastery. The creation work temple established by Undur Gegeen Zanabazar in 1654 dedicated to religious studies and art works became the foundation of today’s Tuvkhun monastery. It is located on top of a rocky mountain hill surrounded by forests elevated in 2300 meters above sea level in the territory of Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai province.
This morning after having breakfast we will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes which is a semi desert typed beautiful landscape with big sand dunes. We will have our lunch on the way and will be transferred to a next family ger. We are going to have an optional camel riding before dinner. After having dinner we can hike around the sand dunes. We can possibly see the sunset brilliantly in the area. . (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
After setting up at the family we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar. When we arrive to Ulaanbaatar, we will be transferred to a hotel.

Mongolian nationwide electricity output is 220V/50HZ in a European style plug. Most likely all the sockets will feature 2 widely spaced round pins. Bit ni worries if your device is different, because universal plug converter is commonly found at relatively cheap price here in Mongolia.

We generally eat breakfast and dinner in tourist Ger camp and some day of longer trip take a packed lunch. Your packed lunch will be carried in appropriate containers to prevent spillage or spoiling. Ger camps serve both Mongolian and international foods, and there will usually be a choice of main dish.
